What do you want to do when you grow up, and why?

I wanted to do it all. My childhood fantasies covered all the bases: from ballerina to veterinarian, teacher to Olympic gold medalist. As a child, I acquired and abandoned dream jobs with an almost zealot-like fervor. A stellar finger-painting experience in preschool convinced me that I was born to be an artist; it wasn’t until the first grade that I noticed my pencil sketches were inadvertently grotesque, and my clay pots emerged from kiln after kiln resembling various forms of excrement. I was on the fast track to becoming a competitive swimmer until I turned seven and my swim teacher tried to teach me how to dive. The only thing I learned that summer was the best way to nurse a belly flop. And my promising career as an astronaut came to an abrupt halt on a 5th grade field trip to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, when the combination of freeze-dried ice cream sandwiches and a ride on a multi-axis trainer left me hovering over a trashcan for two and a half hours.
( Wanna see?!? )

So maybe I just found a version of The Oregon Trail that will run on Mac OS X. And maybe I just bought it.
Excited much? YES.

I hate school right now. So much work. All I want to do is nap and ice skate and consume bubble tea.
